Should i be upset?(valentines "gift")?

Its valentines day the most romantic day of the year and although i know my husband isn%26#039;t romantic usually he has been known to come up trumps occassionally.

However this year i opened my card(which was very nice..) and inside was 10 lottery tickets.

im trying to grit my teeth and not say anything i might regret but lottery tickets!!!!

He loves golf so i gave him new set of golf shoes and speciality distance balls. i know u shouldnt give to receive but after 9 yrs marriage i get lottery tickets!!! can someone explain the reasoning behind that!!

Should i be upset?(valentines %26quot;gift%26quot;)?
You won%26#039;t complain if 6 numbers come up - WILL YOU
Reply:ah he obviously isn%26#039;t very good at this.

Keep your fingers crossed if you become a millionaire this weekend you won%26#039;t be complaining!
Reply:Monetary gifts for Valentines Day ARE pretty tacky - but at least you didn%26#039;t end up with a power drill. Before you plot his demise though, wait till the end of the day, maybe he has something else up his sleeve. I%26#039;m a guy and admittedly, we aren%26#039;t always the sharpest knives in the drawer when it comes to gifting women, but lottery tickets ? Even that%26#039;s a new low. (I hope you saved the receipt for the golf stuff !).
Reply:lol - if you win, you don%26#039;t necessarily have to share the dosh with him!!!
Reply:From my interpretation: You%26#039;re getting lucky tonight.
Reply:Well maybe if you%26#039;re this upset about it then next year you can get a divorce! Ha!
Reply:not original - but its different !

my fiance got that as her secret santa

P/S We havent even given each other cards today -

we choose when to be romantic and dont like being told when to

im making roast lamb tonight followed by %26quot;chick flick2 of her choice -
Reply:After nine years of marriage I reckon you%26#039;re lucky to even get a card, the tickets are just a bonus.
Reply:You know what some men can be like when it comes to buying presents - to us it seems thoughtless but they probably don%26#039;t know what to get. I%26#039;m lucky that my fiance is great at getting me thoughtful gifts but my dad is just like your husband!

Does he get you gifts at any other time other than special occasions? If he does and they%26#039;re thoughtful gifts, I wouldn%26#039;t worry too much. Valentine%26#039;s day isn%26#039;t the only day in the year to be romantic and show each other you care. And it%26#039;s how you spend the day together that%26#039;s important. My fiance didn%26#039;t get me a card, instead he sent an e-card, but he got me a thoughtful present so I let him off!
Reply:just kill him he lacks imagination if you one he would want half but you wouldnt want his golf balls would you
Reply:awwww i can understand why you so upset and angry after 9 yrs of marriage one wud expect a more thoughtful present, but (i know this line gets mentioned alot and although its not much of an excuse here) he is a man after all, and men really dont think do they! with him coming up trumps with presents before, i guess he knows what u like and has used jis brain on occasions like this before, but maybe he has had stuff on his mind, like money issues (hence the lotto tickets!) or maybe he totally forgot about it?? and realised last minute?

lets hope you win the millions hay!
Reply:well cross ur fingers on saturday, and get ready 2 book ur cruise (without him) and have fun
Reply:At least you got a card!! According to my partner, my card is still in the Card Shop! :0)

If you come up trumps tonight with 6 numbers on the lottery, go book a long holiday and take some friends, leave him behind.
Reply:Wow, men can be so clueless! Not a great gift for sure, but look on the positive side...he at least got you a nice card and made an attempt....some men don%26#039;t even bother doing that.
Reply:maybe he is trying to tell you that being with you is like winning the lottery! Ask him about it if you are unsure.
Reply:be grateful, after 16 years i got nish.lol
Reply:come on really what he is saying is that he want you to have everything but because he could not afford everything he gave you a chance to win it all!! i think its nice, you have to think like a man sometimes to understand there sense, believe me its helped me out!!! xx
Reply:well i guess the answer to your question depends on what he gave you on previous valentines days. if the presents were always more or less the same then i guess its just the way he is. if the presents used to be really nice then theres clearly something wrong... all u can do is cross your fingers and win! good luck!
Reply:if you won would you still complain..............
Reply:This morning i didnt get anything, i think valentines day is over priced, commerical and a chance for arguments to create. He got you a card and tickets, thats more than i got. Yes i do love to feel special and i expect tonight i will get a card but if men are not romantic dont be mad. I asked my partner to get me so roses and we agreed to have a nice bottle of plonk tonight and us time. What i think counts the most is things like that, not how much you spent or what fancy gifts you got. its knowing you apreciate one another and if he is good too you all year round, you have lovely times together all you aroundand he makes you feel special all year round, what does one day mean!!!

Dont stress, you may even win!!!
Reply:He is giving you the gift he always wanted.
Reply:See if you win. Then decide whether to be annoyed!! haha! I reckon it actually shows he has a good sense of humour. It may not be romantic but then... every day should be valentines day if you think about it and every day he should let you know he loves you. Have a laugh about it. You%26#039;d miss it if he was no longer around... By the way, if it makes you feel better, I know a guy who found a scarf on the floor and gave it to his girlfriend. Now THAT%26#039;S a new low!!!
Reply:Bless he obviously has no idea! Well if you win you will be happy and can buy what you really wanted. Lol blokes are clueless arent they?
Reply:Its the thought that counts right? At least the card was %26quot;very nice%26quot;. Maybe he has something planned for later, its only the beginning of the day...
Reply:Just kick his balls
Reply:I bliv it%26#039;s the thot that counts lovie...he wishes u can win the lottery which to me is the best thing eva!!!! Don 4gt me whn once u%26#039;re a millioner xxx
Reply:get over it! after 9 years many couples are over it anyway. least you got something
Reply:he forgot and thats all they had left at wallgreens

Plantar fasciitis-treatment by taking medicines- name a few pl?

Initially, I have the tingling pain and the pain becomes more severe when I play 18 holes golf. I wear golf shoes of reputed make. When Iam not playing golf I have the tingling feeling now and then. Iam 72 years of age.

Plantar fasciitis-treatment by taking medicines- name a few pl?
Any time you on your feet for a long period of time its going to cause more pain. Get yourself a comfortable insert and when you get home grab a cold can of soda lay it on the floor and roll your foot over it for about ten minutes. should loosen the tendon up.
Reply:Plantar Facitis ususally comes under a broard term of conditions affecting the lower limbs up tp the hip area of the body.

It may affect your blood vessals, muscular tissues and of cause bone and tendone stuctures.

Essentially it can be introduced as a Viral / bacterial type depending on the type of corse and also can be heredetary and comes often with old age.

It is essentially the welling of certain lower limb and body areas, causing many suferers a lot of pain.

For some it may be constant, for others intermotent.

Pain medications may assist, but of course this is only a short term remedy.

The best advice I can give as an ex-medical rep, is KEEP ON THE MOVE.

No mater what the age, movement in the lower body is essential to good health. Also You can purchas Astrix (100mg Asprin) over the counter. Most Asprin comes in 300 mg which is too much to take every day. But taking 100mg wich is a smaller amount reduces pain and swelling in the long run.

Of course there are many other medications, however I recommend, a lifestyle change, ehere you consult with your local GP and ask for a prolonged, extended consultation to create a case management of this condition, so that you can both work together to see what is going to work for you in the long run.

Remember, its nice not to have pain, or have pain relief, but its even better if you can get it under control.

Facitis is a latin term fir lower body and itis is latib for inflamation. So maybe you can even consult with your pharnacist as there are many non medicated remedies, such as herbal medicines, yoga, certain stretch excercises.

It goes without saying that certain foods will exaserbate the condition, like tomatoes or some very spicy foods etc.

You will be the only person who knows when it is at its worst.

It may be helpful to keep a journal of the following for one month:

Time of day when it is at its worst

Food taken prior to an episode

Stressors or triggers prior to episodes

environmental factors prior to episodes

Chart when it is at its worst, eg: Morning, Day or night.

For many sufferers it is usually afternoon leading into the night, as exertion and too much activity can also exacerbate it as well.

Once you have done this for a month and plotted the frequenqy and duration of the episodes, you may also be able to identify a common factor leading up to the episode.

Armed with this type of information you have already done most of your local doctors work and you can both be informed as to the best way to manage the condition.

PS: If all ese fails, PRAY to God through the name of Jesus for healing and pain relief. I did and it worked on many ocassions.

Sometimes an open mind is an invitation into a very exclisive mindset, which always from my experience results with positive impact both upon the sufferer you in this case and those around you.

As we are creatures who live not unto ourselves, we are impacted either negatively or positively by our actions and this applies to those around us as to how we impact upon them.

I hope all the very best for you and am saying a prayer for you right now. Soon you will see that the pain and condition are secondary to life itself..

PS PS: I forgot, the other approach you can safelt take is a mini detox to your whole system. This can be acheived by drinking 250 ml, 1 glass of Cranberry juice every day for two weeks, then email back to me and tell me how you feel.

I am a carer for a gentleman aged the same age a you, and you should see the rapid results it acheives in cleansing the liver and reducing unwanted toxins from the body, I gaurantee you you will feel much more energetic and have greater pain relief as this will also take a load of your liver. If not, call me and I%26#039;ii buy you a cup of coffee.

Seriously if you want to talk, feel fee to email me or call me on 0425362070 in Australia.

Best Regards

Cheers!!

May you go on to live many many more productive and happy joyful years.
Reply:I wear an ankle/footbrace for it. At one point I also took Neurontin for it. That might help with the tingling.
Reply:One of the best treatments for plantar fasciitis is myofascial release. The plantar fascia is basically a thick band of connective tissue that cannot lengthen or shorten on its own (no contractile properties). Check for massage therapists in your area that are familiar with this treatment, or get a prescription for physical therapy so they can use other treatment modalities to calm the area down.

Traditional medications for this would be anti inflammatory drugs (advil, motrin, aleve, etc) but check with an MD before taking these.
Reply:Google some stretching exercises you can do in the morning. It can take as long as 6 months to heal this problem, but with stretching and the right shoes you%26#039;ll feel better in no time.

1. Take an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofin (Advil) or aspirin about an hour *before* you head out to do any activity or errand.

2. New Balance makes excellent shoes to treat specific issues. You%26#039;ll can find suitable model suggestions here: http://store.nbdelaware.com/merchant2/me...

It%26#039;s extremely important that you have shoes designed for walking because they%26#039;re made differently and offer better support than regular sneakers. Go to a New Balance store to get fitted and buy elsewhere if your style isn%26#039;t on sale.

3. When returning from activities, apply an ice pack on your feet and elevate them.

4. If you feel you have tried good shoes, stretching, etc... and are still experiencing pain or mobility, see a sports medicine doctor or podiatrist.
